1. Who are you? What was your childhood like? I am Ariana Greenblatt, born in New York, raised in S.Florida, currently living in California. I am a 9 yr. old human being with brown eyes and brown hair, very much your girl next door. My childhood is amazing…I am living the dream I’ve always wanted. I am very grateful and thankful.
2. Your parents have deeply instilled being original and individual, how do you express this and what are your superpowers? My parents have always told me to be a leader and not a follower, they have always encouraged me to be myself. To be a strong and independent thinker and to help those that need it. Being able to DO what I LOVE makes me happy. My superpower is making people laugh, smile, and spreading kindness & love like a unicorn.
3. How do you feed your creativity? I feed my creativity in so many ways. Being an artist gives you a really big imagination so I express my creativity through acting, singing, dancing, drawing, and baking! Lately, I have gotten into pottery…Throwing clay on a wheel, handbuilding and sculpting has become my zen place. A place where I can just create and lose myself in what I’m trying to sculpt. There’s no noise or drama going on around me when I am in the studio, it’s just focus and joy. |
4. Tell us about your path to Disney’s Stuck in the Middle. What is it like to be on a set with all those kids? My journey to getting SITM is a great story. I was on a family vacation 2 summers ago in California visiting friends. My wonderful manager Jillian thought it would be great to meet some casting directors while I was out there so I was able to meet two incredible casting directors from Disney and Nickelodeon. Well those meetings turned into three auditions and guess what?…I booked all three of them! I couldn’t believe it. The first two were guest spots on LIV AND MADDIE (which I almost fainted because I was such a huge fan of Dove and the cast) and the second was Nickelodeon’s Legendary Dudas Brothers. The very next day I auditioned for SITM and it went really well, the process went fast for me. I read and had meetings with Disney Channel network people. The last audition for the network I knew was big because other cast mates were there also. I finally went into this big board room with lots of executives and did my thing. I thanked everyone and went home to start school in Florida. Two weeks later, I got a call from Jillian and Wendi my agents screaming I got the part of Daphne Diaz. And here I am. |
5. You love to give back, how do you pay it forward? Giving back to my community is truly special to me. Whether I am participating in a charity for an animal shelter or reading to children at a children’s hospital, I am always ready and willing to help. I pay it forward by being kind to everyone who crosses my path. I believe the smallest gestures go a long way. Giving someone a hug, a high five, taking a moment to take a picture with a fan, making someone smile when they seem sad goes a long way. I believe kindness is magic.
6. What has been the hardest thing you’ve experienced in following your dreams? The best? The hardest thing that I have experienced in following my dreams right now has been being far from my brother and father, friends and family. The best is living my dream. Just being a part of the Disney Family and being on the Disney Channel, is so special. |
7. Who is your mentor? My mom and dad for sure. They show me how hard you have to work to get something you really want. The discipline, the focus, the fact that if you can visualize it in your head, then you can make it happen. I would say I’ve been blessed with great teachers in my life both in Florida and here on the set. Shout out to Frankie! It takes a village…right?
8. What would you like to say to your girl (TPFG) community, your peers? Be yourself, be bold, be different, love who you are, be happy, be grateful, believe in yourself, be kind, never give up, keep dreaming because dreams do come true…it happened to me:) Stick together, encourage and support one another instead of tearing each other down or bullying. Weak people do that, be a warrior princess! |
9. When you experience a disappointment or heartache, what do you do to motivate yourself back up? How do you process? It hurts me when people bully and are so mean, it makes me sad. Make good choices not just in your own thoughts but with who your friend are and if you see someone that could use a friend…then be one. There is a lesson in everything you do…it’s true…learn from your mistakes so you don’t go through life repeating them, only you can change you. That is something I have heard over and over again and I try to practice it. I’m grateful for my family and friends and the people who surround me with love and joy because they are the ones who keep me strong and happy. |
10. What’s next for Ariana? I’m not sure. The universe is full of surprises, you never know what’s coming next. I am so committed to Stuck in the Middle right now, my cast, the writers, the channel, it’s all so wonderful but I’m also enjoying all these new opportunities with different people like speaking with you and that amazing day we had taking all those cool pictures. I’m also exploring some of my passions and seeing how I can shape them into projects such as baking and fashion. Hmmm “Baking with Ariana”…it’s got a nice ring to it:) |
