With every sip you took

It was as if you were about to tell

Another story

Another story about the time you were wasted

Fooled and wasted

And no matter how it went

You would always begin the tale

“One thing led to another, another sip could never hurt me,”

You walked in with broken glass

A bloody cast around your hand that signed help me

And it wasn’t the first time you were late

The late nights became late days

Those late days became late weeks

And weeks, become months

You trapped yourself in a world where you believed you didn’t need anyone else

When mom left your friend Wine came to town

And never left

I just wanted to talk to you

Not the 10, 15 shots you took at the bar that night

Where were you

Where were you when I needed you

And when I hid in fear my whole life

I could hear your pain

Screaming

Through the walls

“Have more”

Broken bottles on the floor

Slicing through my room door

Became symbols

You were in need of a comforting soul,

not the liquor cabinet.

Was your mind at ease

With a sip of whiskey?

You never told me how you felt

You just chugged vodka off from the shelf

Did the intoxication of toxic

Make things clear?

You promised me,

You liar.

 

I woke up that morning

And there you were

A bloody face that read “I couldn’t take it anymore”

Did you ever think Dad

That there was someone who loved you?

Because drip drip the alcohol went

Down your throat and to your heart

Taking away your life

Just like promised

  14. There are definitely quite a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That could be a nice level to bring up. I supply the ideas above as common inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you carry up the place the most important thing shall be working in sincere good faith.
