Alexa Ponciano

Model & BloggerNorthern CaliforniaPhotos by Lauri LevenfeldStory by Lauri Levenfeld

This is a second go for Alexa Ponciano via TPFG, as last year she wrote a beautiful and honest depiction of her life with her dual diagnosis of a brain tumor and Celiac disease at the early age of 8 years old. And how her survival of both (and currently living with Celiac) has changed the course of her life creating a newfound respect and appreciation for each and every day she has on this earth. Alexa is all about living life to the fullest, having fun, and staying positive.   And it is this light within Alexa that immediately drew me to her. She was willing to try anything. She was brave and vocal about her interests and her passions, making sure opportunities and experiences never past her by without a try. We talk to Alexa about her latest venture, WearsAlexa, a blog celebrating her love of fashion and her interest in showing girls ways to strut their personal style. And hey, its oh-so fun to be your own boss and create your own business!

Avery Poznanski & Olivia Rodrigo

Writer & ActressLos Angeles, CAStory and Photos by Lauri LevenfeldStyling by Erin Kelley, Makeup by Irmina Loeffler Martinez

This is the first of many stories to be dedicated to friendship. And this is the story of two best friends who recently moved apart from one another, when Olivia started filming the Disney series’ Bizaardvark. Although life shifted in many ways, one thing remained the same…their endless devotion and love towards one another. What is a bestie? Someone who knows your thoughts before you do, who finishes your sentences, and who loves you unconditionally no matter what. In Avery’s words… ”Someone who makes you laugh so hard milk comes out your nose in the middle of the school cafeteria. Someone you can talk with until two in the morning and makes you wish your conversation could last forever. Someone who makes you feel like yourself, who could see you in sweatpants and no makeup and still call you beautiful. A best friend is someone who can see you at your absolute worst, and still be the first one at your side. When you find someone who makes you feel happier than you ever thought possible, hold on tight.”

Skai Jackson

ActressLos Angeles, CAPhotos & Story by Lauri LevenfeldStyling by Erin Kelley, Makeup by Melissa Sandora, Hair by Kendria Spratt

It seems lately the whole world is tapping in to watch Disney Bunk’d star Skai Jackson, and it’s not just my 7-year old daughter Harley. Women of all ages have been struck by this sweet, confident girl who has stood up for herself when she needed to on social media, opposed bullying, and commandeered all girls to just get along. Jackson, already a veteran in her industry at 14, talks about the time, energy and sacrifices she has made to build her career to what it is today. Skai’s story comes at a perfect time, in the wake of introducing our newest platform, The Project for Girls, launching on September 21st. A platform that will not only shed light on the behind the scenes of successful girls everywhere, but provide inspiration and resources, and as well,  introduce topics of conversation written by girls for girls creating a safe haven to discuss all freely and honestly. Thanks Skai, for paving the way!
