Ellie Patrikios

ActressLos Angeles, CAStory & Photos by Lauri Levenfeld

When I spoke to actress Ellie Patrikios for the first time on the phone, I felt an immediate connection upon hearing her voice and an overwhelming excitement in the words she shared. A magical storyteller, Patrikios immediately entrances you with her childhood memories, her mystical voyages, and her deepest appreciation for avocados.  Her passions correlate into curiosities for the unknown, which transcend her questions into findings, and then, into direct connections and relationships. Think a la Erin Brockovich.

When a chance family trip happened in 2014, Patrikios was forever changed and the course for giving back became one of her deepest life purposes. Ellie transcends individuality and creativity with a playful spin on our joint favorite director Wes Anderson, here is her story.

Alexa Ponciano

Model & SurvivorNorthern CaliforniaPhotos by Lauri LevenfeldStory by Alexa Ponciano

When I met Alexa Ponciano on the set of one of my kids’ fashion editorials Social Bunnies, I was immediately struck by her positivity, light and zest for life. She had the energy and enthusiasm to match any model I had worked with in the past, and I could tell from the moment she spoke her heart was made of gold. Little did I know that at such a young age, she had already lived a lifetime of hardships suffering from a brain tumor and Celiac disease.

When I spoke to Alexa about coming on board to tell her story, the main reason she wanted to do it was to help any girl (or boy) out there suffering from the same challenges and hurdles. She wanted to be an inspiration and a ray of hope, she certainly is. Today, she tells her story and how her biggest obstacles gave her some of life’s most fortuitous gifts.

Carly Steel

for Entertainment TonightHollywood, CAPhotos & Story by Lauri Levenfeld

Most of us dream of living the Hollywood life- interviewing the charismatic actor, attending an awards show, walking a fashion runway, having lunch with the ultimate designer, or traveling off to an exotic place to film a movie. This is the ultimate fantasy checklist, one that host and actor Carly Steel has already checked off at such a young age. The ultimate success story, one driven by a go-getting, yet shy child who dreamed and stayed devoted, and ultimately wound up on the red carpet with a job of a lifetime.

Emma Kennedy

ComedianLos Angeles, CAStory and Photos by Lauri Levenfeld

I may be a teensy bit won over by Emma Kennedy (she IS family ), but outside of bloodlines Emma shines like a star in every way. With a heart of gold, this girl has the power of women in tow. If she wasn’t out to make the world laugh first, she would be saving the lives of innocent women forced into trafficking and slavery (a calling she will soon answer).  And anyone who would jump into an RV ready to tour the country (as a comedian and for the first times on stage) is a badass in my eyes in every way.

1.Tell us about yourself and your passion for your work.

I love acting and I’ve done theatre my whole life. I even have a BFA in Acting, which I see as basically four years of fantasy reality where I got to express myself- laugh, cry, drink, and sing show tunes with my fraaaands (thanks Mom and Dad). I made the big move to LA because that’s what you do after theatre school (well, most people move to New York but I grew up in Wisconsin and…).…
